You are bidding on an excellent 14 kt yellow gold open face keyless wind pocket watch with a sunburst finish, made by I.W.C (International Watch Company) in Switzerland in 1935.

Dial: The white enamel dial has black Arabic numerals with outer minute divisions and outer 13-24-hour numbers. The dial has blued hands and a subsidiary second’s dial at the six. The watch has an original glass in good condition. The glass is clean and bright and free from damage. The dial is signed: “International Watch Co, SCHAFFHAUSEN, Swiss”.

Movement: The high grade fully jewelled movement has a swan regulator and wolf teeth winding. The movement is in good working condition; however, we cannot guarantee accuracy as it is an antique watch. The movement is numbered: 425504 - 31457. IWC is signed under the dial.

Case: This pocket watch lies in a 14 kt yellow gold four-piece hinged case. The inner side of the case is stamped for gold with the 14 kt gold stamp .585 and is numbered: 711497. The outer side of the case has a beautiful sunburst finish.

History IWC: All IWC-movements have a history and most of them also have a mark. Nowadays usually the "Probus Scafusia", in the past many others were used also. People who are familiar with the manufacturer know, that IWC Schaffhausen has records of the reference number, the caliber, the case material, the delivery date and the buyer, ever since 1882. The company name can be found (English italics) on all calibers by Jones (with movement numbers 1 to around 26,000), the Seeland-caliber (circa 26,000-61,000), caliber 28/29 a bascule pilier (100,000 to 120,000) as well as the early calibers 32, 33, 34, 35, 59 and 60 with very low movement numbers like 33, 86 616 or something like 620.
