Omega Art Deco Staybrite Open Face
Pocket Watch Swiss 1925
An Omega open face Art Deco Staybrite pocket watch, made in Switzerland in the 1925.
Dial: The silver coloured dial has black Arabic numerals with outer minute divisions. The dial has blued hands and a subsidiary second’s dial at the six. The dial is signed in the upper centre: “OMEGA” with the logo.
Movement: The anchor lever escapement movement has a plain cock with polished steel regulator and blued steel over coil hairspring. The movement is decoratively signed: “Omega, 15 Jewels, Swiss” and numbered: 8341865. The movement is in very good working condition; however, we cannot guarantee accuracy for an antique watch.
Case: The watch lies in a steel staybrite open face snap back case with a smooth finish. The inner side of the case is stamped: “Acier Staybrite, Omega Fab Suisse, Swiss Made” and numbered: 9190313.
Staybrite: The material Staybrite: Steel containing 0.2% carbon, 18% chromium and 8% nickel. A stainless alloy that makes a fine polish and is used for making high graded watch cases.
