Antique Time Switch Stop Watch “The Paget”
Yachting Steel Pocket Watch Swiss 1910
An antique time switch open face steel pocket stop watch “The Paget”, made in Switzerland in the 1910’s.
Dial: The white enamel dial has bold 5-60 numbers and a red 60 in the twelve o’clock position and outer minute divisions. The dial has a subsidiary minute counter in the upper centre with red 1 to 5 numbers. The sweep hand measures 10 seconds per revolution. It has a tenth-of-second timer. Start, stop and fly-back are operated by the crown.
The dial is signed: “The Paget, Registered No4330, Johnson Walker & Tolhurst Ltd, 21 Conduit St London W, Swiss Made”.
Movement: This mechanical stop watch mechanism has a system which when you push down on the winder it releases the balance and the watch then almost vibrates as it rapidly goes around accompanying the spinning escape wheel. The movement is signed “Swiss Made” and is in great condition; however, we cannot guarantee accuracy for an antique watch.
Case: The stop watch comes in a steel open face case with a smooth finish. The inner side of the case is numbered: 140936 - 136845. The cuvette is decoratively signed: “PETERKIN 5th May 1914”.
Diameter: 68 mm – Weight: 174 gr
Signed: The Paget - Swiss Made - 1910.
