Rare Silver Pair-cased Samson with Silver Dust cover Pocket Watch - London Circa 1800
This is an exquisite early 19th century silver pair-cased pocket watch signed D. Samson Circa 1800. Considering the fact that this watch is over 220 years old, it is in remarkably good condition – an absolute must-have collector’s item! This key wind watch comes with its own old key.
DIAL: The original hand painted white enamel dial has black Roman numerals and an outer Arabic five-minute chapter and Poker and beetle hands.
MOVEMENT: The verge fusee movement has a sprung three-arm balance, pierced foliate balance bridge, silvered regulating dial and square baluster pillars and signed Samson, London. The movement has a beautiful fully engraved silver dust cover.
The movement is in good working order, but due to its antique nature, we cannot guarantee precise accuracy.
CASE: The watch is lying in a silver pair case numbered 24308. The case does not have a clip to properly close the pair case.
Diameter: 57 mm - Weight: 113.5g
Signed: Samson
