A verge open face pocket watch, recased into a copper skeleton case. This pocket watch was made for the Turkish market in France 1820. This pocket watch is complete with old key.
DIAL: The white enamel dial has golden applied markers with outer minute divisions. The dial has blued hands and is signed: "J-ln Le Roy A Paris".
MOVEMENT: The early verge movement has a three-arm balance wheel with silver disc regulator. The movement has a nice engraving on the cock and Egyptian chased pillars. The movement is signed: "J-ln Le Roy A Paris". The movement has blued screws and is in working condition; however, we cannot guarantee accuracy for an antique pocket watch.
CASE: The watch lies in an open face case which was recased into copper with a skeleton back. This pocket watch was made for the Turkish market and is complete with old key.
