An original Elgin full hunter keyless wind pocket watch, made in USA in 1900.
DIAL: The white enamel dial has black Arabic numerals with outer minute divisions and outer red 5-60 minute track. The dial has blued hands and a subsidiary seconds dial at the six. The dial is signed in the upper centre: "ELGIN". As this is an early full hunter pocket watch, there is no glass to it, which is very typical for these times as the full hunter case protected the dial.
MOVEMENT: The high grade Elgin full plate movement has 15 jewels and bimetallic split balance. The movement is signed: "ELGIN, Nat'l Watch Co, USA" and numbered: 13494521. The movement is in great working condition, however we cannot guarantee accuracy for an antique pocket watch.
CASE: The pocket watch lies in a gold plated full hunter case with a worn engraved decorative finish. The inner sides of the cases and the cuvette are numbered: 8592609.
