Longines Art Nouveau Gold %26 Niello Pocket Watch
You’re bidding on Silver Longines keyless full hunter pocket watch with gold and Niello back and front in Art Nouveau style, made in Switzerland in 1900. This pocket watch was made for the Spanish market. The watch is signed throughout the case, dial and movement, all clearly signed 'LONGINES'.
DIAL: The clear and easy to read white enamel dial is in excellent condition. The dial has black Arabic numerals with outer minute divisions. The dial is signed in the upper centre: "Longines, Cuervo Y Sobrinos, Unicos, Importadores". The dial has nice hands and a subsidiary seconds dial at the six. The protective glass is in excellent condition.
MOVEMENT: The fifteen jewelled anchor lever movement is clean and in working order, however we cannot guarantee accuracy for an antique watch. The movement is signed: 'Longines' and numbered: 3646922. the calibre number is: 15.94.
CASE: The pocket watch lies in beautiful gold and Niello full hunter case. The front and the back have very nice floral decorations with a small scratch in one of the flowers. Both inner sides of the case are stamped for silver 0.900 argent. The cuvette is signed: "Longines, 7 Grand Prix". The inner side of the cuvette is also stamped for silver 0.900 and numbered the same as the movement.
