Original Waltham American Pocket Watch
You are bidding on an open face, high-grade, gold filled, screw back keyless American Waltham pocket watch, made in USA in circa 1900. This pocket watch is in perfect working order, a watchmaker can bring it out to accurate it till the second.
DIAL: The white enamel dial has black Arabic numerals with outer minute divisions and outer red numbers. The dial has nice blued hands and a subsidiary seconds sunken dial at the six. The dial is signed in the upper centre: "American Waltham Watch Co." The protective glass is in excellent condition.
MOVEMENT: The anchor lever railroad movement has fully screwed jewels and a high regulator. The movement is signed: "Crescent St, Waltham Mass" and numbered: 4337963. The pocket watch is in very good working order, however we cannot guarantee accuracy for an antique pocket watch.
CASE: The open faced pocket watch lies in a gold plated case with name engraving in the inner side of the case: "J.A. BARTON". The inner side of the case is also signed: Patented Fahys Montauk and numbered: 5566016. The case is very nicely engraved on the back and sides.
