Dimensions:
You are bidding on an open face pocket watch made in honour of our Queen's coronation in 1953. There have been a small amount of pocket watches made in her honour so this is a rare pocket watch to find. The pocket watch is complete with its original presentation purse. This is a real collector's item.
Dial: The dial is beautifully painted with a portrait of Queen Elizabeth ǁ in the upper centre and her name: ELIZABETH ǁ in the lower centre. There are English and Union Jack and Commonwealth flags next to the picture. 'Coronation' all around the dial, omitting the 6 and 12 positions in substitution of numerals with outer minute division for clear reading the time. The dial has gilt hands. The dial has a subsidiary seconds dial at the six and inside the subsidiary seconds dial the year 1953 is marked.
Movement: The pin pallet lever movement is in working condition and made in Great Britain. The movement is stamped: Made in Great Britain and numbered: 534M. To change the time, push down the winder. The pocket watch is in excellent condition; however we cannot guarantee accuracy for an antique pocket watch.
Case: The pocket watch lies in a chrome snap-on bezel and back case. The bow is beautifully made in the shape of a crown. The outer side of the case is nicely engraved with a coronation scene.
