Superb Goliath Gunmetal La Perle Pocket Watch is Tortoiseshell Case, London, England 1922
This is a superb gunmetal open face pocket watch with telephone dial in a tortoiseshell case with silver plaque in mint condition. the silver plaque is hallmarked for London 1922.
DIAL: The white enamel telephone dial has blue Roman numerals within gold circles, with outer minute divisions and outer 5 minute Arabic numbers. The dial has nice hands and a subsidiary seconds dial at the six. The bevelled glass is in excellent condition. The dial is signed in the upper centre: "LA PERLE".
MOVEMENT: The nice high quality anchor lever movement is in great working condition; however we cannot guarantee accuracy for an antique pocket watch. The movement is signed: "PH".
CASE: The gunmetal case of the pocket watch has a smooth finish. The inner side of the case and the cuvette are both numbered: 122661.
Gunmetal is a material that is being used for the making of guns. This material is very strong.
The pocket watch comes in a tortoiseshell case with a silver plaque. The case has a slight crack on top, on the right hand side. The case closes well and stands nicely.
