Offered for sale is this excellent silver 0.800 open face pocket watch, Swiss made by J.W.C. (Sister company of IWC - International Watch Company) in 1898.
Dial: The white enamel dial has clear black Arabic numerals with black red outer 5-60 minute divisions, and a subsidiary seconds dial at the six. The dial has antique style hands and the protective glass is in good condition.
Movement: The high-grade movement with polished steel regulator bimetallic compensation balance has a club foot anchor lever escapement. The movement is signed: JWC. The movement is in good working condition; however, we cannot guarantee accuracy for an antique watch. It is numbered: 119227.
Case: The watch lies in a silver 0.800 case with a nice engine turned monogram free finish. The inner side of the case and cuvette is stamped for silver 0.800, and signed JWC stamp and numbered:135911.
