Rare Verge Gold Plated Open Face Pocket Watch

A rare verge gold plated open face pocket watch, made in Switzerland in the 1800’s. The pocket watch is complete with original key.

DIAL: The white enamel dial has Arabic numerals with outer minute divisions. The dial has gilt leaf hands and a bulls-eye glass.

MOVEMENT: The verge movement is nicely decorated with floral motifs. The movement is in good working condition; however, we cannot guarantee accuracy for an antique pocket watch. The movement is signed: “S&C Joyce, Lombard street, London” and numbered: N°1119.

The gold-plated dust cover is signed: S&C Joyce, London and numbered: N°1119.

CASE: The watch lies in a gold-plated open face case with a slightly rubbed engine turned finish with a monogram free cartouche. The inner side of the case is stamped: J.B. The pocket watch is complete with original key.
