IWC International Watch Company Staybrite Open Face Pocket Watch Swiss 1950

An original IWC steel staybrite open face keyless wind pocket watch, made in Switzerland in the 1950s. This pocket watch is coming with a pouch and steel Art Deco chain. As well, a leather IWC passport holder and IWC book. Please see all the pictures. The watch is signed IWC three times; on the case, dial and movement.

Dial: The silvered dial has applied Arabic numerals with outer minute divisions. The dial has nice clear hands and an engine-turned subsidiary seconds dial at the six. The dial is signed: “International Watch Co, Schaffhausen, Swiss”.

Movement: The high swan damascened lever escapement movement is in great working condition; however, we cannot guarantee accuracy for an antique pocket watch. The calibre number is 67. The movement is signed: “International Watch Co, Swiss” and numbered: 1332986.

Case: The watch lies in a steel staybrite open face snap back case with a smooth finish. The inner side of the case is signed: “Staybrite Steel, International Watch Co, Swiss” and numbered: 1484834.

STAYBRITE: The material Staybrite Made of: Steel containing 0.2% carbon, 18% chromium and 8% nickel.  A stainless alloy that makes a fine polish and is used for making high graded watch cases.
