 Half Hunter Pocket Watch - Birmingham 1929

A 9 Kt yellow gold J.W. Benson keyless wind, half hunter pocket watch, made in Switzerland and hallmarked for Birmingham 1929. This watch is complete with original JW Benson box.

Dial: The white enamel dial has black Roman numerals with outer minute divisions and a subsidiary seconds dial at the six. The dial has blued double spade hands. The protective glass is in good condition. The dial is signed in the upper centre: “JW Benson, London”.

Movement: The anchor lever movement has a compensation steel balance and blued steel balance spring and is has fully screwed jewels. The movement is in great working condition; however, we cannot guarantee accuracy for an antique pocket watch. The movement is signed: “J.W. Benson, London, Swiss Made, 17 Jewels”.

Case: The pocket watch lies in a 9 Kt yellow gold half hunter ALD case with a smooth finish. The inner side of the case is stamped 375 for 9Kt gold, signed: ALD and numbered: 458472. The cuvette is decoratively signed: “Presented To Albert Mann by “The Star” in recognition of Sixty Years Loyal Service, April 1960”.

The 9 Kt gold JW Benson pocket watch is complete with original JW Benson box. The box is signed: JW Benson Ltd, Watchmakers, Jewellers & Silversmiths, 25 Old Bond Street”.
